Croatian shipbuilding is flying thanks to the high profile contract wins secured by the Brodosplit Shipyard. Established in 1922, the shipyard is increasingly focussing on the luxury, cruise and military vessels markets with great success. Andy Probert reports

Oceanwide Expeditions, the leading exploratory Polar cruise company from Vlissingen, The Netherlands, is pleased to announce that construction work has started on building a brand new and innovative 180-passenger vessel for Oceanwide’s commercial activities in the Polar Regions.
Built in Croatia by shipbuilder Brodosplit, the vessel shall be available for Oceanwide’s customers as per the Arctic season in May 2019.
